Engineering innovation that works in the real world

Innovation only matters when it performs.

For us, innovation is not an abstract concept. It is a disciplined engineering process, driven by method, supported by internal tools, and validated through testing and prototyping.Every solution we develop is designed to operate reliably under real operating conditions.

Innovation through method

A structured engineering approach

engineering innovation is built on a structured project approach designed to ensure consistency, reliability and continuous improvement.

Our engineering office specializes in the design of power transmission systems operating under severe mechanical, spatial, thermal or operational constraints.

Our engineering methodology

At Involute Transmissions, innovation starts with method. Our engineering approach is built to ensure consistency, reliability and continuous improvement across every project.

This methodology is currently being formalized as part of our ambition to achieve ISO 9001 certification for our management and project organization system.

This reflects our commitment to structured engineering processes, quality management and long-term performance.

Our mission and values

Phase 1 — Analysis & understanding

Each project begins with an in-depth analysis of functional requirements, operating conditions, constraints and risks to define a clear engineering framework.

Phase 2 — Design & optimization

Based on this analysis, system architectures are designed and optimized using calculation, simulation and engineering trade-offs.

Phase 3 — Validation & testing

Design assumptions are validated through testing, measurements and iterative improvements to correlate theory with real-world behavior.

Internal innovation solutions

Proprietary tools developed to support innovation

Standard engineering software rarely addresses the complexity of non-standard transmission systems.

That is why we develop proprietary internal tools, designed to support engineering decision-making, accelerate iteration and maintain full control over system performance.

Gear Designer

Developed internally, Gear Designer supports the design and optimization of gear tooth geometry. It enables rapid exploration of non-standard geometries and supports performance, noise and durability optimization.

Gerotor Designer

Gerotor Designer is our internal software dedicated to the design and optimization of Gerotor-based pump systems. It allows precise control over flow, pressure and efficiency across a wide range of operating conditions.

These tools are not products they are extensions of our engineering expertise.

Validation through testing

Innovation must be measured to be trusted.

At Involute Transmissions, theoretical design is systematically confronted with reality through testing and measurement.

Our internal test bench allows us to:

    • validate performance assumptions,
    • measure system behavior under real operating conditions,
    • correlate calculations with experimental data,
    • refine designs through iterative testing.

This validation capability is a key element of our innovation process, ensuring that engineered solutions deliver reliable and repeatable performance.

Working with the Involute Transmissions team has proven to be one of the most significant positive impacts on how we design power transmission.

Prototyping capabilities

From concept to functional validation

Innovation often requires moving beyond models and simulations.

Thanks to our integrated workshop, we are able to manufacture prototypes and very small series directly in-house.

This capability allows us to:

    • rapidly validate design concepts,
    • test mechanical interfaces and assemblies,
    • reduce development cycles,
    • secure design decisions before industrialization.

Once the design is validated, production can be transferred to specialized industrial partners for large-scale manufacturing.

Innovation in practice

Proven through demanding applications

Our goal is to make sure that it works in the real world, under real conditions and with real constraints.

Our innovation approach is applied across projects involving high performance, reliability and efficiency requirements, often in constrained or safety-critical environments.

While many programs are subject to confidentiality, our innovation capabilities are demonstrated through:

    • long-term customer collaborations,
    • demanding industrial sectors,
    • validated solutions operating under real conditions.

Technical references and anonymized examples will progressively complement this section as programs allow.

Innovation at Involute Transmissions is not a one-time effort.
