Gearbox is a complex part of the drive train. For this reason, it can be complicated to define exactly the needs for non-specialist customers. Therefore, Involute Transmissions assists its customers from the beginning of the project to help them write the specification that best corresponds to their needs.
The customer’s requirements are at the heart of our design process. For this reason, we carry out a preliminary design. At the end of this stage, we are able to estimate the performances, volume requirements, cost, etc. and we decide together whether to continue the project as it stands or whether modifications are necessary.
We design the products according to the latest modelling techniques while keeping in mind our customers’ needs. We have computer aided design (CAD) tools, finite element codes and powerful and validated calculation tools developed by our team.
HIGH QUALITY MANUFACTURING
From design to delivery, we work closely with our manufacturing partners. We are very focused on the manufacturing aspect in order to design the most manufacturable parts possible, which is a guarantee of quality and robustness.
When necessary, we carry out tests to validate concepts and thus limit the risks to the final product. This can be a new sealing design or a special gear web for instance. This is a common situation when the product developed is highly innovative.
Our focus is always on quality and customer satisfaction. Therefore, when the product is manufactured, assembled and ready for delivery, we carry out a final test to ensure that it meets the requirements of the specifications. The product is then delivered with a performance certificate and a guarantee.
SUPPORT FOR COMMISSIONING
We know that commissioning is a critical stage in the development of a product. That is why we assist our customers during the first runs so that this crucial milestone can be achieved with the utmost serenity.
We also support our customers throughout the life of the product. We carry out the maintenance of the transmissions according to the plan established at the start of the project, but we can also support our customers during unforeseen events. Finally, we are always available to answer any questions about our transmissions.
